In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen….
Most people who ask for grace from God discover that it is already being given in their lives…If we become more aware of that grace we can begin to cooperate with what God is doing… all we need to do is to dispose ourselves to receive it… So let's begin by praying that we might be ready to praise, reverence and serve God in all things this day…
As you awake this morning ponder the desires of your heart… Are you seeking one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit…? Paul calls them ‘love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control’ (Gal 5:11-23)…? Or are you seeking another grace known only to you and God…? Whatever your heart desires at this moment, spend a moment trying to put it into words…
In your own time ask God for that grace from the depths of your heart…ask for the grace that you really want deep down…
As you go through the rest of today, notice where that grace is being given…even in the most unexpected of places and surprising of ways…As you ask for that grace this morning, do you get a hint of how God responds…?
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
