Father, you know us, you love us and you call us by name as a couple.
Holy Spirit, give us your strength to grow strong together.
Christ Jesus, make your home with us, as we make ours with you.
St Ignatius, in the prayer he calls the examen, invites us to connect with gratitude in our lives.
Today we spend a moment getting in touch with some of that gratitude.
Holy Spirit, show me where I feel thankful for my partner . . . from the last day . . . from the last year . . . show me something that has always been true . . .
You might pause in order to share some of this with each other . . . . . .
Lord, thank you for the gift of my partner and for so many occasions of gratitude.
In Jesus name.
AMEN.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
