Where Two Are Gathered: Day 5

Father, you know us, you love us and you call us by name as a couple.
Holy Spirit, give us your strength to grow strong together.
Christ Jesus, make your home with us, as we make ours with you.

St Paul writes to the Philippians: “May you always be joyful in your union with the Lord. I say it again: rejoice! . . . Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart.

And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.”

No person and no couple lacks challenge!
What are some of the challenges that you face together?
  . . . Bringing up children?
  Caring for parents?
  Financial worries?
  Coping with illness?
  All of these? . . .
You can’t manage all this on our own and you don’t have to.
  We need help from others.
And we all need God’s help too.

Each of you name a challenge that you face together . . . What do you need from God to help you face this challenge?
  Let God know!
  . . .

Paul’s blessing again: “May you always be joyful in your union with the Lord. I say it again: rejoice! . . . Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart.

And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.”

Glory be . . .
