Welcome to the Saturday Examen.

Let yourself enter slowly and gently into prayer for this Saturday Examen.


Become aware of the events that led you to this prayer time…what had been going on so far today? As you recall them, let these moments fade away for a little while, as you turn your attention on Jesus, who looks upon you with great love.

Let your mind sweep over the week… what do you notice surfacing from the last few days?


Of these moments, where did you notice yourself feeling most fully alive?


Where did you feel yourself weighed down or the experience of things just not lining up?

What would you like to say to the Lord about all of these moments?


Today is the feast of St Mary Magdalen, also known as “the Apostle to the Apostles”. What do you need this week to enable you to live life like an apostle? To stay close to Jesus and to show others his love for them?

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
