Saturday 18 February 2023

Welcome to the Saturday Examen.

I take a moment to become still and aware of God’s presence as I begin to review the week…

During this week, I’ve explored how the scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments can speak directly to me today, shaping the way that I am faithful to God in my daily living.

How has my prayer life been stirred in this time?

Has a particular passage or passages stayed with me this week?

Why is this? What did I experience?

What has brought me joy this week?

What has surprised me? I give thanks to God for these special times.

Where have I felt uncomfortable or resistant to God?

Where have I struggled? I tell God about these times too.

As I look towards the coming week which will take me into the season of Lent, I ask for the grace to embrace all that God wishes to say to me, as the Spirit leads me deeper into the truth of Jesus Christ.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
