Welcome to the Saturday Examen.
God longs to be present to you and to share this time of quiet space with you. Find the best way for your body and mind to become still, inviting God to be with you.
Asking for the trust and courage to see both light and shadow, how have you been aware of God’s presence during this past week?
We have heard some strong passages of Scripture this week. Have any particular thoughts, desires or feelings arisen within you as you prayed with them?
Today many Christians celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, a place of pilgrimage and healing for believers worldwide. Has there been a sense of how this week has invited or challenged you to move and grow, to ask for healing or to explore your own woundedness? How have you responded?
How have the readings from Scripture led you in your relationship with God this past week?
This week’s prayer and engagement with God’s word may have brought you a sense of hope or of struggle or sorrow. You may have found it difficult to express fully what you have thought and felt. Whatever your feelings at this point, take time now to say what is in your heart to God, our loving Creator, who made you for a purpose and finds you very good.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
