Take time for your body and mind to become still, inviting God to be present to you and to speak to you during this time of quiet space…

God sends us the Spirit to help us look back over this week of Advent. See again how God has been present to you during this time.


As you look back over the week, is there anything that strikes you about the Advent scripture passages you have heard and prayed with? Did any particular thoughts, desires or feelings arise within your prayer?

Is there an overall sense of how this week has invited or challenged you? Have the readings given rise to a sense of movement within you? How did you respond to this?


Has anything in your life made it easier or harder for you to respond to God’s word in this past week?


This week’s prayer may have brought you a sense of promise and desire or of struggle or regret. Perhaps you’ve found it hard to find words to express to God your feelings and desires. Whatever your feelings at this point, take time now to say what is in your heart to the God who is coming to us specially at Christmas…
