Saturday 12 November 2022

Welcome to the Saturday Examen.

As you come to prayer, pause for a moment … let yourself arrive … here, now, and always, God is with you … loving every fibre of your being … let yourself lean into that love.

This week the readings have spoken of times of challenge as disciples… to be people of faith who forgive … to act against what prevents people drawing close to God … to wait upon Christ … to keep Jesus in view as we learn to love. What of this has left you most thankful?

As you recall the events of your week, invite God to show you where you have forgiven or asked forgiveness … spoken truth that could be heard … found a way to love even though difficult?

Where might you have walked a wrong path or missed Jesus’ presence?

Sit with God with what you have gathered from the week. Offer what you can to God, knowing that God will not waste anything that is given … Looking to the week ahead, ask from God what you need …

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
