Welcome to the Saturday Examen.


In this Saturday prayer you are invited to see more clearly how God has walked alongside you through this week. Start with a word of thanks for the last seven days, whether they have felt good, bad, or mixed.

Now, in your own words, ask God to make you more aware of what he has been doing with you and for you this week.

Once you’ve done that, look back over the last few days, and gather a few snapshots of places and situations where you can now say that, in some way, “God was with me”. Take a few moments to recall and re-live those times.

Speak to God about how you’ve responded to his presence with you this week. You might give thanks, or express sorrow, or really rejoice in this God who has been alongside you each day.

As the prayer comes to an end, ask for whatever you might most need from God for next week, in the light of all that you have seen here.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
