Saturday Examen

Take a moment to stop. 
 
Take some slow breaths in…and breathe deeply out.
  Then let your breathing become quiet again.
 
Become aware of the presence of God all around you.
   
 
Ask God to shed light on this time.
 
And as you breathe, wait.
  Just wait.
  Let that sense of waiting - in the presence of God - be all you need to do right now.
  Just embrace the waiting.
 
Cast your mind over the past week.
  Where have you sensed life?
  Give thanks.
 
Where have you struggled?
  Hold out those difficulties to God. 
 
What do you need?
  Ask for that now.
 
You might want to ask God, in this time of Advent, for the grace to embrace the wait.
