Saturday Examen

Become aware of the sounds around you, the room you are in,
Then you're breathing; the very breath you have just taken you can use to run away from God or towards him.

This week, we experienced Jesus through the eyes of Zacchaeus… We watched as Jesus wept over Jerusalem… We saw a man blind from birth recover his sight…
What has stayed with you from our scripture encounters this week?

Where this week have you experienced times of lightness, refreshment and peace?
Stay with these for a while.

Has something become clearer to you?
What do you see?

Where have you experienced moments of shadow and darkness, heaviness and tension?
What has weighed you down or darkened your sight?

As you close this time of prayer, invite Jesus to walk with you into the week ahead,
both in its shade and light…

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
