Saturday Examen

Prepare yourself for prayer today by focussing on your breath…take a few deep breaths in…and then a few releasing breaths out. Notice how the change in breath brings stillness and an awareness of God’s presence.

Cast your mind back over the week… we have been discovering prayer in many forms …we have been reminded that God’s presence can come to us in the Holy Spirit … we have been called to repentance …we have been reminded that God is mercy.

What has spoken to you most this week?

The readings have spoken of the many attitudes of prayer. Where have I felt guided towards a renewal?

Where did I feel a willingness or acceptance?

Where did I push against God’s voice? Why was that?

At the end of this week, what I have learnt?  Where has the Spirit led me? And what do I desire from God in the week to come?

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
