Saturday Examen

Take your time to become still, asking God, Creator, Son or Spirit to be with you during this prayer time and to speak to you...

Ask for God’s light to shine in your heart and mind, helping you to see this past week as God sees it, recognizing God’s presence within it.  

As you look back over the week, how have you found praying with the Scripture passages throughout the week and praying in general?  

What strikes you particularly? Whether they are positive or negative or merely numb and neutral, how have your feelings been before, during and after the week’s prayer?

What has helped you to have a sense of God’s presence during your week?  Or what has made it difficult to connect with God?

Are you aware of anything you wished had happened in your prayer this week that didn’t? Perhaps something that has been hovering on the edge of your attention? There’s a chance now to share what’s in your heart with God…    

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
