With Advent upon us, our minds turn to the coming of Christ into our world. This is a special time for Pray-as-you-go because we work especially hard to bring people closer to Christ, so we give thanks to God and our listeners for their financial support and prayers.
Last year we were humbled by the response to our ‘Increase Your Impact’ Advent appeal. Through the generosity of our supporters, many lives have been changed, lives like those of Shawn and Anita:
‘My story begins back in June of 2018 when my wife was diagnosed with cancer. I had been using Pray As You Go since Lent when I discovered the app online. I suggested that we both listen to it as a prayer before bed. We found that praying together brought us closer together and gave us a sense of peace that everything was going to be ok.
Our church made us a beautiful prayer quilt and we included that in our nightly prayer ritual. As we went through the different stages of the cancer treatment we found a great comfort in praying together. I am happy to report that the cancer is gone. We start radiation in a month, but we still use Pray as You Go every night as a way to thank God for all His help and His loving presence.’ Shawn and Anita
