Today is Tuesday the 29th of April, the Feast of St Catherine of Siena.

The Community of Taizé sing “the Kingdom of God is justice and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  Come, Lord, and open in us the gates of your kingdom.”

Today’s reading is from the Acts of the Apostles.

We are all in need of community, a place where we can be of one heart and soul with others. Our heart yearns for this. The love of the risen Lord makes such communities possible. Where today do you need to encounter that love?

There is so much need in our world and great riches too. What might the Lord be inviting you to share with others to create a world of greater belonging and greater harmony?

As you hear the reading again, you might like to bring to mind those people and places that have been part of the communities that have supported you, or just let your heart be touched by the beauty of what is described here.

We all need to be sons or daughters of encouragement. What might the Lord want to say to you today that you yourself might be another Barnabas? Share your thoughts with the Lord.
