Today is Thursday the 15th of May, in the Fourth Week of Easter.

The choir of Westminster Cathedral sing the Agnus Dei from Palestrina’s Missa Brevis.  As I listen to these words, can I recognise God in the people around me, in the faces of all who are around me?

Today’s reading is from the Acts of the Apostles.

Here we have a summary of God’s hand at work among His people, showing how He worked through specific people at different times.  Who have been the most significant people in your faith journey, your journey through life?   Take a few moments to call to mind the most significant people in your life, past or present.

What are the qualities that you most appreciate in these people?

What part have they played in shaping the person that you are today?

Listen again to the passage that describes how God carries out His plans through different people at different times.

Express to God now whatever is in your heart.
