Evening Examen

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen….

All through the day you have been trying to hold a special awareness of the grace of God in your life…As you come to the end of this day, recall the grace that you asked for this morning…whether you were asking for one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit…or something known only to you and God…

As you look back over your day, notice where you have received that grace….perhaps not in the place you expected…perhaps not in the way that you expected…surely somewhere that grace has been given…

Now spend a moment thanking God for that gift wherever it was given… when you give thanks for grace received, that gift begins to grow and grow in your life…

The grace of God is there to be shared with others…were there any moments of the day when you shared the grace that you received with those around you…? when the same grace that you received flowed through your open heart into the life of the world…?

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
